Product Description
WDZ-YJY23 is engineered to reduce harm in case of fire:
- Flame-retardant performance: The cable self-extinguishes after removing the ignition source and is designed to prevent flame propagation and molten dripping.
- Halogen-free formulation: No chlorine, bromine, or similar halogen gases are released during burning, so there is no thick, choking acid smoke and far lower risk of poisoning or asphyxiation.
- Low smoke output: The low-smoke sheath and flame-retardant design help maintain higher visibility; escape paths remain more visible, allowing more time for evacuation and rescue.
- Low corrosive impact: Combustion by-products exhibit relatively mild acidity (pH ≥ about 4.3), which helps protect metal supports, equipment, and cable trays, decreasing the cost of repair and replacement after a fire.
For routes that demand both mechanical and environmental resilience:
- Enhanced mechanical protection: Double steel tape armoring offers high resistance to pressure and tearing, typically up to around 1100 N / 100 mm.
- Direct burial ready: Can be buried at depths around 0.7 m in many designs without additional protective ducts, while coping with backfill, ground settlement, and routine construction activities.
- Rodent and insect defense: The armored structure and outer PE sheath help prevent animal damage and abrasion during concealed routing in walls, shafts, and tunnels.
- Ingress protection: Overall protection level can reach approximately IP65, providing strong resistance to dust, splashed water, and light mechanical impact.
- Service life: Combined armoring and durable sheath typically allow 25+ years of service under normal conditions, especially when installed according to code.
- XLPE Insulation:
- Continuous working temperature up to 90 °C, suitable for standard 0.6/1 kV power distribution.
- Withstands low temperatures to about -40 °C without embrittlement.
- Low dielectric loss (tan δ approx. ≤ 0.003) contributes to reduced energy loss and reliable long-distance transmission.
- PE Sheath:
- Non-toxic and environmentally friendly, aligning with green building requirements.
- Excellent weathering and UV resistance; no obvious cracking or chalking even after years of outdoor exposure.
- Maintains flexibility and appearance without plasticizer-related aging, making it a better option than conventional PVC sheath in high-demand projects.
- Copper Conductor:
- Uses high-purity electrolytic copper (conductivity close to 99.97% IACS).
- Low resistance reduces heat build-up and voltage drop, enhancing overall system efficiency.
- Maintains firm and stable connections, reducing the need for frequent tightening and thermal inspections.
WDZ-YJY23 is designed to align with relevant mandatory fire and environmental standards, including but not limited to:
- GB/T 19666: General requirements for flame-retardant and fire-resistant cable performance
- GB 12666: Flame-retardant and fire testing for cables and wiring
- GB 50217 and related building/installation codes for cables in high-occupancy spaces
Typical fields where these requirements apply:
- Metro systems, airports, major railway stations
- Hospitals, schools, large shopping centers
- Data centers, control rooms, and industrial sites with halogen-free requirements
Installation options include direct burial, conduit, overhead, cable trays, and tunnels, enabling WDZ-YJY23 to cover the majority of high-compliance use cases.
