When a fire breaks out, the first thing you cannot afford to lose is power for life-safety systems. If fire pumps, emergency lighting or smoke extraction suddenly go dark, evacuation and rescue become exponentially more dangerous.
NH-VV is a PVC-insulated, PVC-sheathed fire-resistant cable designed specifically to keep those critical circuits energized during a fire event, while also delivering reliable day-to-day power for building systems.
NH-VV follows the requirements of GB/T 19666-2019 for fire-resistant cables.
- Special fire-resistant layer applied around the conductor
- Designed to withstand approx. 800–900 °C fire conditions
- Maintains circuit integrity and power delivery for at least 90 minutes under test
This gives fire protection systems precious time to operate, including:
- Fire-fighting pumps and hydrant systems
- Emergency and escape lighting
- Smoke exhaust and pressurization fans
- Alarm, detection and monitoring circuits
The PVC sheath and insulation used in NH-VV have inherent flame-retardant characteristics:

- Helps limit flame spread in cable ladders and shafts
- Lower smoke generation than ordinary non-flame-retardant PVC
This contributes to slower fire growth along wiring routes and improves conditions for occupants and rescue teams.
In normal operation, NH-VV behaves like a stable, general-purpose building power cable:
- Stranded copper conductors for good conductivity and low voltage drop
- PVC insulation with solid dielectric strength for low-voltage distribution
